Impact!

Tonight I got a surprise phone call that blessed me and humbled me. One of my former youth from my days of youth pastoring at Axson COGOP, in Georgia called and asked me to perform his wedding. I was humbled and honored.

It got me to thinking, after years of service and working with people you wonder if you ever made a difference. You think about kids who you have pastored and others that you have worked with and you wonder what happens to them and how their lives turn out. You also wonder if they remember you. Sometimes you wonder if what you did for them made any difference whatsoever.

That phone call lets me know I touched his life somehow. You just dont have anyone marry you. I dont say that boasting, I say it as a reminder. No matter how long you are in ministry, you make a difference in somebody. You are a blessing to someobody. To somebody you were a life line. As a matter of fact the name of that youth group at Axson at that time was LifeLine Youth ministries. It fits now. Just maybe, just maybe today you will be someones life line. They will be eternally grateful. You make a difference in ministry

Until next time.....Keith

That's cool :) You are absolutely correct in saying that we are Impacts with ministry. Let's just pray that we all make the right Impact! At least I do... Now get that boy a great wedding sermon :) lol
